Bird Watching
Villas DeRosa is a great spot for bird watching! From our rooftop overlooking the jungle canopy, there are several different species within viewing range. Take a look at the short list below. If you have any to add, please !
Here are a few of the bird species seen

"Hello Tony, and everyone else that made our holiday so great,
Thank you so much for all you do to make Villas de Rosa a wonderful vacation destination. We had a great time relaxing, sight seeing, swimming, birding and getting acquainted with your beautiful part of the world."
"We especially enjoyed your rooftop overlooking the jungle canopy. With Brian’s scope we were able to view birds across the treetops. I have attached a copy of our list for the week. It is only a portion, we are sure, of all the many species that are within viewing range. After all we were only there a week. Perhaps there are more you can add to this. Or maybe we saw a new one for you. We never asked if you have a list for your place. If you do, will you share it? We are certainly amateurs but we know your place is rich. We can only hope to return again and add to our great memories of Aventuras Akumal. It is indeed a most beautiful beach!"

"Hey, Tony (Brian here) you mentioned a green bird with blue on the top that flew by in front of you, and I don’t know what that might have been. One bird I thought it might be was the Green Jay. If you did a Google image search of “green jay” you might see if that was what you saw. It’s also got a sort of black bib.
Thanks again for sharing your wonderful place! We had a great time snorkeling, walking the beach, and birdwatching."
Hasta luego,
Brian
"Hello Tony,
Yes, there are plenty of birds around your place. It should be considered at the very least a base camp for all of the birding spots in the area. Your rooftop view over the jungle provides a wonderful perspective. We enjoyed the beautiful songs each morning. Birders would be very interested in your location. If you don’t have a bird list posted, start with the one we sent. People will begin adding to it right away. You will be amazed at how many people work to identify local species.
We sure had a good time at your place. Already we are talking about how we can return next year for a longer stay."
