"Love this place! We were steps to the beach out our patio door! Sand was sugary white and soft! Snorkeling was great! Dive shop was great! Fishing was great! You can do it all from this quiet and private resort! Loved it and will definately be back!"

"We arrived too early and was met with a great welcome and a big smile. Tony was very service minded and we got beach towels and could leave our luggage at his office. In the afternoon we have the apartment, fantastic!! Very big and with a wonderful view from the big balcony. Even the women, Rebecka ( I think the name was) give us a fantastic treatment. Wish we could have stayed here longer. If we return to Mexico we´ll absolutely stay here again. The [condo] has very good equipment in the kitchen, a good bed with fine linen. Very clean and we really like sitting at the balcony in the morning eating our breakfast. We arrived with the collectives and had a ten minutes walk to the hotel. You could have use of a car if you want to see the surroundings. We strongly will recommend this place! Amazing!"

"We really enjoyed our time there. We had a ground floor suite, was awesome! The staff was all excellent. Thanks Rebecka and Tony Jr.!!! :) We will definitely book again. We stayed for 4 nights, and will definitely stay 2 weeks plus next time. We had a ton of room in the suite. Excellent! We heard alot of people are repeat yearly customers. We met so many really nice people there. It's a really great place to stay. Location is great. And the beach is really clean!!! Great job!! Can't wait to return and hopefully be a yearly repeat customer also. Cheers!"

"Our family was welcomed by a beautiful smiling Rebecca. Our suite was spacious and accommodating! Wake up to sounds of the ocean right out your door! Outstanding snorkeling right on the beach! Tony junior too is a whirl wind of information and hospitality! Ask about the tours with Tony as well with Cora who is next door at the bar! Fantastic margaritas are to be had just watch the swings when sitting at the bar! I hope to return back in the near future!"

I wanted to drop you a note after returning from Akumal last week and let you know how FANTASTIC everything went! You should be very proud of Tony, Jr.; he made sure the resort ran like a finely tuned machine (which is saying a lot in the Caribbean!) and my customers were thrilled with the level of professionalism and service we received. The food was so fabulous I actually gained 6 pounds even swimming an average of 200 minutes each day! We had ZERO complaints. I'll never consider anyone else. That being said, can I book a trip for a group of 12 for next February? The same time frame would be great if it's available.

"My wife and I stayed here for 10 days in the middle of February, 2011 and we just loved it. We've been doing more traveling as of late and have had our fair share of bad experiences but the management at Villas DeRosa is as good as it gets, and that makes all the difference in the world. An old adage goes, "the test of mettle for any company is not how well they do when things go right, but how well do they do when things go wrong", and that is where these guys excel. They genuinely care about whether you are happy or not, doing what was necessary to make it right and doing it quickly. Also, they don't try to nickle and dime you for every little thing. For example, they gave me a carton of milk for my coffee (that they provided) to last me the duration of the stay. Also, filled my sugar container, brought us baked goodies for free etc. etc. Stuff you never see at other locations. We needed to use the phone as we had a minor emergency at home. They let us use their phone for an international call with no charge. Now, they are hooked up to the internet for it and it doesn't cost them much but do you think the other place would let you call for free? I ended up making half a dozen calls over the duration of the stay, always with no charge. I just can't say enough about them, they made the vacation so much better. And then there's the resort itself. Beautiful doesn't say it. The resort has a reef about a hundred yards off shore that is great for snorkeling. The rooms are roomy and clean and the condos with the ocean views (where we stayed) are like 100 feet from the water. They have an inhouse kitchen that will make you fat, the food is that good and fairly priced. They have a beach bar with the hanging swing seats and the Caribbean motif that adds to the ambience. They have free WIFI. Also, they are centrally located to do a lot of what the area has to offer, and there is a lot. I especially liked swimming with the turtles 2 miles away in Akumal Bay. I got some great underwater video of turtles, sting rays, a huge barracuda, needle nose fish and a whole lot more. It was some of the best snorkeling we have ever done, if not the best. We are definitely going back to the same resort to try to do some more of what we didn't get to do the last time. It is the only resort I've ever been to that I want to return to and that is saying a lot for us since we never go to the same place twice. All of the other guests we spoke to there just loved the resort, especially the management. Can't recommend it enough."

"My Boyfriend and I were looking for a small intimate place to stay for my Birthday. And we found it at The Villas DeRosa! We stayed in a 1bd beach front condo over looking the amazing ocean below. The service was amazing! The staff is friendly and helpful and the food was fantastic! We love akumal and wouldn't stay anywhere else. Don't let the dirt road off the highway that leads to the resort fool you. It truly is a diamond in the rough. We're looking forward to our next visit."

"Spent a week with friends and was impressed with not only the accommodations, but the location! The family owned and operated resort was much more intimate than a franchise. The manager is part of the family, and could not have been more attentive to our needs. We all felt we were welcomed as part of the extended family. The condo was perfect, with plenty of room to relax and prepare meals when we chose in the full size kitchen. We also had the option to order from the restaurant on site and enjoy our meals in the condo or on the beach. Just open the sliding glass doors and our toes were in the sand with the ocean a few steps away. It was a perfect vacation week with friends. Truly love the friendliness of a small family owned and operated resort."
